Role of the cholinergic antiinflammatory pathway in murine autoimmune myocarditis.

Abstract

We showed that activation of the cholinergic antiinflammatory pathway with nicotine reduces inflammation in autoimmune myocarditis.

Our results may open new possibilities in the therapeutic management of autoimmune myocarditis.
