Abstract

With GlideScope-assisted tracheal intubation, Mallampati airway class is not an independent risk factor for difficult intubation.

Other standard clinical risk factors of difficulty with direct laryngoscopy also do not appear to be individually predictive of first-attempt success of tracheal intubation.
