A randomized, masked study of weekly erythropoietin dosing in preterm infants.

Abstract

Preterm infants respond to weekly EPO by increasing ARCs and maintaining hematocrit.

We speculate that once-per-week EPO dosing might be beneficial to preterm infants requiring increased erythropoiesis.
