Calcium management after thyroidectomy: a simple and cost-effective method.

Abstract

Prophylactic calcium supplementation without routine laboratory assessment proved to be a safe and cost-effective method of preventing and managing postoperative hypocalcemia following total or completion thyroidectomy.
